Somewhere along the way, we stopped asking the questions that once came so naturally:
What do I love? Who do I want to be? What makes me feel alive?
Life — with its noise, demands, and detours — often pulls us away from the simplicity of knowing ourselves. We lose faith in our instincts. We silence the voice that used to whisper, "You can."
But that voice never really disappears.
It just waits — patiently — for you to remember.
The strength you forgot you had
Self-trust is not about having all the answers.
It is about having the courage to listen again.
When we reconnect with our childhood longings, we begin to see the roots of who we are: raw, honest, unfiltered. That child still lives within you — and they still know exactly what makes your eyes light up.
The challenge?
Our inner strength often hides beneath layers of learned fear, self-doubt, and external expectations.
And the more we try to "be enough" for others, the further we drift from what makes us feel real.
A practice to come home to yourself
Take a few quiet minutes.
Breathe in. Breathe out.
Then, open your journal and gently explore:
-
1. What did I dream of becoming when I was little?
(Not what you told adults — but what you whispered to the sky.) -
2. What made me feel powerful, free, and full of life?
(Textures, places, movement, songs… let memory lead the way.) -
3. When did I first start doubting myself — and why?
(Trace it softly. No blame. Just understanding.) -
4. What part of that child still lives in me? What do they need today?
(It might be something small — like permission to rest or play.) -
5. What is one thing I can do this week to honor my inner strength?
(Not for anyone else. Just for you.)
Remember this:
You were never lost — just waiting to be found by your own attention.
Rebuilding trust in yourself is not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who you have always been.
Let this be the season where you turn toward yourself again — with grace, with curiosity, and with just enough belief to take the next step.
